Released in 1981 and partly produced by Jacno, "Les Visiteurs du soir" is the only album of Mathématiques Modernes. Formed by the experimenter Claude Arto and the punk queen Edwige Belmore, the group is today associated with a certain French scene of the end of the 70's and the beginning of the 80's, between punk, rock and synthetic music, grouped under the journalistic term of "Jeunes gens modernes". If the record of Mathématiques Modernes resounds for us like a classic, it is because it testifies strongly of its time while always appearing of an undeniable richness and a great creativity.
